Ok, What’s in the box:
* Mini CD for windows 95 drivers
* Earbug plugs
* USB Cable
* USB plug (same ends as cable, just no cable)
* Plastic clamp with fold out stand.
Sound quality is good. It is lightweight, feels plastic, visual esthetics are pleasing though.
Video quality is good. No skips in the video. Bright enough for indoors, but weak in natural light. Compares poorly to a sony walkman or the 4.3 inch screen on the ematic. Compares very well to the pyrus line. Acceptable, but 3 stars.
Controls are intuitive, although there are two “on” buttons. Remembers last position in a video, prompts to restart or resume. On screen menu’s are 5 stars.
Playback, video’s will stretch/scale down to fit screen. Understands AVI’s (Used some XVID encoded files), plays MPEG 4 video (remember to use a .mp4 extension)
Hooks to PC, looks like a disk drive, just drag and drop. 16 gig, plus a micro sd slot for another 16 gig, storage is 5 stars.
It’s not touchscreen. It’s probably better, because you aren’t always cleaning the touchscreen you are trying to watch videos on.
This is an excellent player, it would have 5 stars if the video playback were brighter.
