Buzzy, cheap sound, not even louder than the built in speakers on my MacBook . They sound like they were put together by a team of very talented chipmunks. And I don’ t even know what that means. Writing it off as a bad investment
This is a functional product that is extremely compact, and easy to use, but produces only mediocre sound quality. While the Chill Pill is great at producing amplified sound for an ipod, I purchased it to provide a portable upgrade to my laptop’s built in speakers. Sadly, the sound quality is almost indistinguishable from the built ins. Just be sure to think about how you intend to use it; ipod, sure…laptop or desktop, not so much…
I’m going to school to become a massage therapist. For our clinic, we have to bring so much stuff with us. I didn’t want to use the CD player the school had in the clinic room. I didn’t want to take the chance of my CD scratching and skipping. I always have my iPhone with me so I wanted to purchase speakers for my iPhone. The only problem I had was I have the otter box and it takes a minute to remove it off the phone. I needed something portable that I could just plug into my phone without removing the otter box then I could put my iPhone on airplane mode so I would not have any interruptions. I purchased another name brand but the wires did not retract and it did not charge the iPhone or iPod. I took it back to the store. I found the chill pill online. It had everything I was looking for. The wires were retractable, it charged my iPhone or iPod, it’s small enough for travel and the sound is awesome.
These speakers were given to me as a gift. I was shocked by the incredible sound from such small speakers. I love the little carrying pouch and how light they are. I have been using them for several months and because of their recharge ability, I still have yet to recharge them. Since receiving this great gift, I have purchased several for friends and family. The price is so reasonable that it makes it easy to give. I think everyone who enjoys audio should have at least one pair.
So I just recieved this product today from mygearstore, & I must say they are louder than i expected. They can get very loud just from those lil two speakers.
PORTABILITY IS GREAT, its smaller than i expected. I thought it would be a lil heavier and bulkier but its the opposite
I rated these a 4 instead of a 5 because I feel like i have to be a bit careful when pulling out the wires out of the unit they feel like their gonna break off.
Other than that they are really great for their price & being that they are mobile speakers(:
